I was craving for Korean food so we went here for dinner. I wanted to order the ramyun but was hesitant because it’s too spicy. I asked the staff if they could just set aside the spicy seasoning and I’ll just be the one adding it. She said they could – I kept reminding her so they wouldn’t forget it. They granted my request and they just put the seasoning in a separate container. I’m so happy ‘coz I can adjust the spiciness according to my taste. Plus points for customer service. Aside from the ramyun, we also got the Chulpan Sewu (sizzling garlic shrimps). We always order this at the Kaya restaurant. The difference is the one at Little Kaya is a bit dried. The oil and garlic bits make it so tasty and I like to pair it with rice.
Ordered the beef stew. It tastes great and seems authentic Korean food. The serving size is just a too small for its price, but it got compensated by the free side dishes.
Went here for lunch and I ordered their Sizzling Garlic Shrimp. It costs 260 pesos but it’s already worth the price since there are a lot of shrimps and it already comes with 3 side dishes (kimchi, toge, and radish), soup, and rice. It’s a very heavy and filling meal. The garlic shrimp tastes good and is just a little bit spicy (i have low tolerance for spicy food). I’ll definitely come back to try more of their dishes!
Kimbap with hair. Great. It was a takeout and lucky me, I opened it before we left! We politely returned it but they did not even say sorry. They looked really pissed that they had to make a new one. #sanitaryissue #healthaboveall #foodsafety
Soondoboo chige is very good! Service is quick. And who would have thought kimchi would be soooo good? Because theirs is amazing! Never really a kimchi fan but I’ll be if it’s theirs. Gyoza could be better though.
Really missed the old Kaya restaurant. My parents knew the original owner of this restaurant and they apparently sold the entire franchise except for ingredients which they still supply. What i miss the most is their korean beef stew which tasted very different from what I’m used to. Anyway, I ordered Bulgogi Dolsot Bibimbap (Php 270) a huge stone bowl topped with veggies, beef bulgogi and egg. It still had that sweet soy flavor to it and not bad for the price. Came with different sauces and sides too.
I’m a sucker for spicy Korean food so I ordered the spicy squid and my office mate got the Korean beef stew.The serving size for the spicy squid is huge! It had alot of sauce with cabbage and Bell peppers in it. You could half it with a friend and the bowl of rice was filled to the rim. Its a complete meal for Php 250, with a bowl of soup, 3 side dishes, and rice.The Korean beef stew was not as oily as I see in other restaurants and the beef was so soft, it slides off the bone. Its not very sweet, just as I like it.The side dishes were peanuts in sweet sauce, kimchi, and beansprouts.
