Ever since the Gavino’s Japanese Donuts branches near my place closed down, I have been buying Japanese donuts from Mister Donut instead. This started when I noticed that they offer these kinds of donuts. They sell great-tasting donuts, and this was no exception. I love the chewiness of their Pon de ring. The only problem is that it’s very very sweet. I would also like to share that I am not a fan of donuts, primarily because they are too sweet.
Ambience:Their branch is small but I was lucky enough to get the last table way at the back. I love the self-service experience for choosing doughnuts because you see them up-close and get to press them down with the tongs. Remember to put paper on your tray before getting some.Food:Sugar-Raised and Classic Glazed Pon De Rings were chewy with mild flavors begging for the company of some coffee. Choco Nutty Fun Bite was just right with a fair amount of nuttiness but the Milky Graham Kidster Fun Bite was bland. It was so bland I wouldn’t have guessed the flavor blindfolded.Service:Transaction at the counter was quick.
They’ve renovated the place. Now it looks cleans and smells cleaner too. Been trying to find cheaper alternatives for coffees unfortunately they only have hot brewed coffee. I really wanted cafe latte or iced coffee though. Still bought brewed coffee (Php 45) for the bf.
Beef Tapa and Hot Chocolate with Bavarian! Space of the store was small and Service is so-so. They also offer pizza which is cool. You try it and let me know how does it taste. Hehehe.
Food: i ordered a pancake, it was an average in taste. A go to for breakfast if starbucks is full hahaha. Ambience: spacious. Has lot of seats at the back. But since is self served, kinda hassle when the customers are piled up in one area. Service: below average because the pancake was served quite long. 🙁
I remember when I was young, my Dad would always bring us to Mister Donut. This was in the Greenhills branch. He would often order Bavarian, his favorite treat. For many years, I have not tried their donuts, until tonight. Apparently, they also have Choco Butternut too and they sell it way cheaper at Php 20 only. I also had their so so Choco Peanut for the same price. Dunkin’s version is so much better though, more texture and layers of taste! They sell it for Php 38, almost double but justifiable. alwayshungry.ph
The brewed coffee is good here. The donut well tastes like day old bread. The place is neat and cozy, great for quick casual dine. Affordable prices.
