  We liked our chicken n veggies meal here a lot! Claypot Chicken in Fermented Red Rice Wine was very tasty! Succulent chunks of chicken in thick red gravy. Stir Fried Yam was quite unique. Spinach with Salted Egg and Century Egg in Supreme Stock was a revelation – really good. Sambal Kangkong was ok.Top quality oolong tea Tieguanyin was expensive but good.Chilled Loquat in Herbal Jelly was a good dessert

  This is an all time favorite restaurant whenever we travel to Singapore or Malaysia. Quality for the ordered food were quite consistent with its original store in SG cept that the pork trotters were quite burnt thus giving us a bitter aftertaste which made lower the collagen satisfaction. The free sesame pork bun was tad oily. Lor Mee , Braised Tofu & Cabbage Pot and Cereal Prawn were superb! Will go back for this.A suggestion though that the Self service Checkout process has to be emphasized and make known to Diners. We were kept waiting for the bill when we asked for bill out with all servers being called upon all nod and acknowledged the request and nobody was bringing us the check , later on we realized they were trying to adapt the bill out process of SG MY where diners have to go pay at the cashier themselves.

  Another Michelin Star restaurant opens in Manila! The Vikings Group has franchised Singapore’s Putien, offering Fujian or Hokkien cuisine. Putien as a brand came from Mr. Fong Chi Chung’s hometown, Putian, a city in Fujian, China. The menu is generally flavorful using only premium, fresh ingredients. Expect also some exotic dishes here. If you’re a first-timer, I highly recommend having the light, 100-Second Stewed Yellow Croaker. It’s stewed for just 100 seconds to give customers a natural sweet taste and tender texture. This is also available in a spicy version. Pair that up with the plump, Homemade Bean Curd. The imported, silken tofu cubes are served with sugar snap peas and mushrooms.For appetizers, go for the Seaweed and Mini Shrimps Dressed with Sauce and The Shredded Pork with Sesame Bun. The former is a tiny bowl that’s intensely flavored and the latter, value for money starter at only Php 99 per piece.Then there’s the unconventional serving of the 12 inches, Braised Pig Intestine. It is looped, cooked and extended into 9 folds that translate into a gummy bite.Putien Century Egg is deep-fried, coated in the tangy crust. The yolk must be soft to create a more satisfying experience.Another interesting bite would be the collagen filled, Cold Pork Trotters Jelly. This pig’s feet delicacy is a staple in Fujian. The kids might enjoy this, without sharing what it is. Since this is a Singapore brand, Putien gives you a few of their popular pieces. Go for the Chili Crab with Mantao or a more earthy fill in Black Pepper Crab. I also found the Cereal Prawns enjoyable. It’s crisp and crunchy, with savory and sweet tastes. Am sure this will be a group favorite. For dessert, the Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Fruits will give you a refreshing finish. This is an ideal treat and a palate cleanser too!For the opening, diners will be treated to a free Putien Shredded Pork with Sesame Bun until November 21.
