This branch feels very homey. Ersao food have always been great. My favorite is the Kutchay Dumplings. If we’re talking about drinks, I order either Avocado Shake, Watermelon Shake, Taro Milk Tea, Pearl Milk Tea or Wintermelon Milk Tea. Their Classic Spicy Squid Or Pork are good for snacks too.
Now in its 20th year, Ersao is celebrating a milestone with you and me as one of the country’s first authentic milk tea store and Taiwanese restaurant. This franchise now has 30 branches all over the Philippines, and last weekend I was invited to the grand re-opening of their 2nd Banawe branch with a more modern, minimalist concept. They call this Ersao 2.0. On this visit, I was fortunate to get my hands on some of the classics, including various milk and fruit tea and some Taiwanese specialty dishes in dumplings, specialty noodles, and rice toppings. I enjoyed munching on the Spicy Chicken and the Soybathe Dumplings the most, while I sip on two of my refreshing cups- caffeine-rich, Thai Milk Tea and tangy, Passion Fruit Tea. Ersao team also served us the uniquely curated, Beef Genji. It uses fine noodles, topped with beef, egg, and shrimp. There’s also the Spicy Squid that’s shaped like an onion ring, a best selling afternoon snack.I also had the newest offering in rich and creamy Avocado. There must have been a whole fruit in there with its striking bittersweet taste. I did miss out on having the Shimmy Mo Cha or Summer Mint, Japanese Roast Milk Tea, and the Yo Che Green Tea Cold Brew.Ready for Ersao 2.0? Experience them now with a new menu and a new whole new look. Congratulations, once again, for two decades of serving customers. alwayshungry.ph
