That was a rainy afternoon when my friends and I met here. The ambiance is good with own parking space. It was my first time here and I can say that the meals are good. Cupcakes are tasty and nor too sweet. Seafood pasta tastes well. This place is good for meetups. Tables and chairs are available outside for those who want to enjoy the ambiance and perhaps for those who smoke. Would love to come back here. How to go? If you are from Marcos Highway, you can ride a jeep going to Montalban or Sumulong Highway. Or ride a tricycle in front of Sta Lucia Mall.

Just like traveling, I reckon I ought to explore my own town (Marikina) before going elsewhere. And so we drove along Gil Fernando Ave. to look for a place to eat and Alexei’s caught our attention. It’s a homey cafe with vintage, nostalgic decor and ample parking. The Chubby Cheese Sticks with salsa was very good. It’s not made of mozzarella but cheddar cheese, which added more flavor to this appetizer. The panko breading gave it a really good crunch and the salsa was fresh and flavorful. A must try!The grilled salisbury steak was served on a sizzling plate with rice, corn & carrots, and gravy. The meat was salty and gamey (kinda like lamb).I got the bacon Alfredo pasta. The sauce was okay and the bacon was crispy. The pasta was a couple of minutes undercooked and the garlic bread was meh. I took home more than half of it and just focused on the cheese sticks. Service was below average to average. It was a so-so dinner, but we won’t let this experience get in the way of our Marikina food crawl.

Wanted a grab a quick snack while in Marikina so I googled that is a bit near the city hall. Food took a while to be cooked but was great tasting especially their garlic aligue pasta which I think everyone should give a try.

This place was introduced to me by my boyfriend because this is one of his favorite spots in Marikina. Dined here thrice already before I decided to write a review. Dishes are affordable. Tried the crabby tuna sandwich—it flavors feel light when you eat it but it’s actually heavy in the stomach. Also tried the sweet summer salad which was good. I was also able to try their bacon liempo chicharon (sorry, no photo) and I loved it. I was also able to try the smoked bangus (no photo) but I didn’t enjoy it. For the dessert, I’ve tried the deep fried oreos and it was enjoyable and good—I love the generous amount of whipped cream. phantasmdarkstar.com

Food regularly ordered:Bacon Liempo ChicharonSweet Summer SaladNachosGarlic Shrimp Aligue PastaSeafood MarinaraMexican OmeletteThese are my top picks for this resto. Not a fan of their burgers as the patties are dry and bland.Service is okay and wait time is fast as well. A place where you can eat and hang around if you need time to work.

Food was so so. I ordered the baby back ribs but it was not available so I settled for the porkchop. The garden theme was awesome except for the mosquitoes. They tried by strategically placing mosquito repellents but it was not enough. The place was not crowded and the crew was accommodating enough. Smoking area a plus. Overall- needs improvement but I’ll be back for sure
