If you needed to describe Yakai Yakitori Ramen in just one word, that word would be affordable. This street stand offers bowls of hot ramen for as low as ₱65 (regular) to as high as ₱135. With sides ranging from ₱35 – ₱50 and rice bowls at ₱50, you can have a full meal with drinks, sides and even extra rice for way less than what you would pay for in other ramen places.Due to its low prices, expect long lines when you visit this street stall. There were only 4 to 5 tables in their Mandaluyong branch so the turnaround is very slow as well. Expect your patience to be tested especially if the weather does not cooperate during your visit, which in my case, there was a drizzle going on.For this visit, I had the overload size of their shoyu ramen (soy based broth), a super size of their tan tan men (spicy broth) and gyoza.Their shoyu and tan tan men were way too salty as if someone accidentally knocked over a canister of salt in it. Not wanting food to go to waste, I just drained the broth as much as I can when having the noodles and toppings. On the plus side, it is certainly filling due to the amount of noodles and toppings in it. Noodles were firm enough, and the toppings were well-cooked so I enjoyed these parts. The egg slice though tasted a bit weird and too mushy for my liking.Their gyoza is just average. It had ample amount of meat in it and is less oily compared to some dimsum stalls, but nothing really special. ₱40 for 4 pieces is just right though for its taste and quality. It is rather an unfortunate way of showcasing how Japanese ramen would be if it became more affordable. Despite a good concept, the unpalatable liquefied salt they call broth in their specialty ramen really killed it for me.

Sayang lang pera mo kumain dito. The ramen was so salty and overpowering yong miso flavor. Rice meals were overpriced and tasted weird as my son said. Sobrang konti yong laman and sauce for the price. Napaka dry pa ng rice nila. Sorry but for the same amount of money, you can eat at another place to satisy your japanese cravings and be happy. So disappointing.Food ordered:Street Ramen Special (too salty)Gyudon Rice Meal- bland and the taste of the green onions overpowered the mealYakitori Don- rice too dry, not enough sauce but the chicken was okChasu pork- pork slices were so thin you could hardly feel you were eating anything. Sauce not enough once again.

My first ever Ramen experience happened here in this street style Ramen food house in Mandaluyong. It was so good! The Gyoza, Street Ramen and even Isaw made my night. Everything was affordable at a very good taste. We even ate here for 3 consecutive days.

Channeled my inner Uzumaki Naruto and finally gave this place a shot.Been seeing lots of people go here every night. The place is really accessible for Mandaluyong residents and really easy to go to if coming from Boni, Shaw Blvd or Libertad St.I ordered the Shoyu Ramen + 4 Gyozas for 120pesos. The meal served its purpose and made me full. The ramen and gyoza tasted: Meh (Chowking’s gyoza tastes better); but for this kind of meal priced less than 150pesos, you really should not expect more.I think this place will be great for people with hangovers.

I have ordered the yatai ramen special, for 160 php taste is very comparable to a priceier competitor, the pork based broth is really smooth to the taste, it also has that umami taste to it. The serving size is really good , it could be even be shared by 2 people , the gyoza is really meaty and delicous the 45 php you would spend with it is really worth it. The con is that they operate real slow, based from their facebook page they open at 5:30 pm but you cant order ramen , you can only order their yakitori or bbq , they took our order at around 6:25 pm to 6:30 pm but started serving it at around 6:45 pm.
