Food tastes great and great prices. I just wouldn’t go to this location if you are the type that’s concerned about germs. We handed the cashier our money and just after she sneezed into her left and and shook it off. She went straight to the food area and started preparing our food. We asked the manager to have her wash her hands so the manager fixed our food for us. The lady that sneezed never washed but about 5 min later she went to the sink and rinsed them without soap. I hear this is common in the Philippines so most may not think it’s a big deal but I would rather not risk catching a sickness and eating snot remnants.
The food is great with their hakaw ranking as a must try for those dining here for the first time. Great news is you could buy them by the pack and steam them yourself at home to satisfy random hakaw cravings! More than the food, the staff is commendable as well. Their smiles and warm greetings as one enters their quaint room would make you feel comfortable instantly. Inquiries about their products are answered satisfactorily and food preparation is prompt and hygeinic. The best part? Their dimsums come at an affordable price without compromising their quality.
Have you heard of 30th Mall of Ayala? It’s not their 30th mall just yet. It’s odd name is actually based on its address, it is located on the 30th of Meralco Avenue in Ortigas, Pasig. This new community mall is almost complete and could finish opening all retail and food stops by June 2017. On its basement where you can spot Rustan’s is a budget friendly food stall, Oriental Chef Express. They currently served just dimsum which can be purchased dine in the store or take out. They also have steamed or fried options for most of their dimsum offerings. I got almost all that was there and could hardly break the Php 200 mark. It’s this affordable. The products are nothing spectacular as expected but it does solve hunger and craving altogether. I got a smooth almost fat texture Siomai, Sharks Fin, Cuapao with mostly fat, Beef balls and Mango Sago. I also got plain rice for just Php 10 while I dip it to some of their in house chili sauce. alwayshungry.ph
I love this place for their food and price. Definitely one of the most affordable places to go for lunch so far in The 30th. Perhaps their best sellers is hakaw, which often runs out thus being there early might guarantee some hakaw treats. Also, their chili garlic is one of the best.
