Was invited to try Tendon Akimitsu for their social media shoot and got to try a whole lot of items from their menu. The ebi tempura was perfectly done: light and crispy batter that isn’t too thick with a well-made dipping sauce. A surprise highlight for me though was the maki they offered! I got to try first the spicy salmon maki, which was decent but personally not my favorite because it had too much sesame seed.What truly floored me however was the ebi tempura maki and the aburi salmon maki. For the price point of 300+, it’s definitely on the pricey side, but the serving size and the explosion of flavor is most definitely worth it. I loved the balance of all the flavors, from the fish to the cheese, the sauce, and the fruit jelly on top. I was honestly nervous to try it because it seemed to have had so much going on but every piece was amazing. I’m even dreaming about it as I type this.Would definitely go back for this!
