A hotel staycation will never be complete without a sumptuous breakfast to go with it. Good thing City Garden Hotel Makati has Bistro to deliver an awesome breakfast to its guests. So me and my friends decided to go on a staycation at City Garden Hotel and one of the reasons I agreed is because I heard that the breakfast buffet there is good. So after our good night’s rest, we immediately went to the second floor to catch the buffet. At first, I was a litte disappointed coz I was hoping that the buffet area would be huge and that there would be tons and tons of selections. But when I looked through the food I know it was enough. And little did I know, some food items are not displayed (to save space I think) so you’d have to order them from the resto. Yes, it’s still part of fhe buffet. Amazing right? All the food were cooked well.
a breakfast buffet that’s a complimentary for your hotel stay is a sure winner most especially if it’s that good!bistro at the city garden hotel is open from 530-1030 am daily serving filipino and continental offerings. i saw danggit and it made my day – it’s not overwhelingly salty, just right for my palate against the warm garlic rice and your choice of egg (there’s an egg station where you can ask for the simplest to the complex kind of egg to ne made to your liking). they have a perfect corned beef hash – chunky corned beef topped w/ a thin layer of mashed taters, omg! other viands were there too such as longganisa, sausage, hash browns, veggies and even bacon!they have a cereal station where my fave coco crunch was served and the milk was creamy and sweet, next to it was a salad bar and bread section – i chose the breadery instead of salad, the only reason why i can’t KETO, haha!i would like to highlight and for you to try their pancakes – bible, they have one of the best-est! it’s fluffy and creamy and luscious and top it w/ their buttermilk and mappe syrup, i dunno but there’s something about their pancakes that were so magical! another thing – their coffee, this too was a potion in my palateand the guests were the ones who recommended it to me.as for the service, it was okay, you need to nudge ‘em a bit to be a lil proactive but i get it coz there were alot of people at the time we dined for breakkie. overall, out of 5 instances, it was just twice i had feedback for, the rest was okay.
Wonderful restaurant tucked away at the 2nd floor of the City Garden Hotel. I recommend the breakfast buffet, it’s an amazing deal for 495 a head
