My family and I have been dining here once a month for the past 7 years. We first started out in the Shangri-la branch; then we became regulars in the Rockwell branch just because we like the vibe of the mall better.The individual sets are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Dining here is admittedly a little pricey; but I always leave the place with a full heart and stomach. The food arrives no more than 5 minutes after ordering, (cause duh, it’s raw). All sets come with a big platter that consists of 2 types of pechay, 1 glass noodles, 1 egg noodles, tofu, tomato slice, shitake mushroom, corn on the cob, 4 balls (meat, mushroom, chicken, squid), and a fish cake slice. The broth comes with minced garlic, spring onions, chilli pepper, some brown thing that looks like bagoong but isn’t (lol sorry for this bad description),The staff are always attentive to us- but they may be biased toward us because we are regulars. After our first year, they offered us a VIP card- one for each member of the family!- that entitles us to 10% discounts in our bill. It has no expiration. ❤️
I dont normally enjoy cooking my own food in boiling broth, but Healthy Shabu-shabu in Powerplant Mall made me love it. Though a little more expensive compared to other shabu-shabu, their variants are quite a number, thus loads of options to choose from. I ordered an individual tenderloin set B with extra black mushrooms and taiwan pechay. It was around Php1,300 more or less. The server (Ruel) did not inform me that the tenderloin Set B that I ordered already comes with a plate of Taiwan pechay, Baguio pechay, 1 pc of crabstick, few pcs of squid/fish balls, 1 pc of mushroom, 1/8 of a tomato, a small corn on a cob, and 2 variants of noodles. If he did then I wouldnt have ordered extra taiwan pechay. He should have mentioned it. It was quite a lot, but since Im not into preserved squid/fish balls, I wasnt able to eat them. Otherwise, my dining experience was pleasant and the food and service were alright.
We got the Meat & Seafood Set A + Extra Noodles — I shared it with a friend and we were both full after. It’s really good value for money! I think we only paid around 300+ each. Between this and Ganso shabuway, I think I like this restaurant better. Service is top-notch!
Healthy shabu-shabu is a good alternative if you want a healthier shabu-shabu as they have no MSG on their soup. The staff here are really friendly and the ambiance is quite chill. torpedo.food.blog
It took some time for us to be seated although there were available tables. This was a weekday, around dinner time. I’m not sure what’s taking them so long to clear up the tables. After being seated, the waiter was gracious enough to apologize for us having to wait that long. It looks to me that he’s tired but he still managed to put up a welcoming vibe. Food is good as expected.
Our ordered:Beef striploin & Beef tenderloin set.They claimed there is no MSG and is quite good for us to eat in healthy way.The soup is standard, and should put sauce on it to upgrade the taste.Service is ok, just a bit delayed waiting for the meat coming.
Best Shabu shabu place in town. My go to place when I have the sniffles or cough. The broth is the most important part of any shabu shabu and I can say, theirs is good. The prices are on the high end but their prices are generous enough. Try the lamb.However service can be rather slow and the waiters/tresses can use more training on proper food service. There’s one waiter (who I will leave unnamed for now until X amount of times I visit and experience the same) who ingores your requests for water or what. He would see you raise your hand (and you know he saw you because you make eye contact and then would look away). Or he would hear your order but wont fulfill it.. I’m a frequent patron buddy, a few more times like that and your names gonna be here for public viewing.Pro Tip: Get the free discount card for your free dessert. Not everyone knows this, but now you all do. So enjoy.
