Instagram-worthy place. The interior was cool and different, something one would not expect to see in the are. Food was so-so and not really worth your money.
I will definitely not eat here again. This is near my school and I expected too much because the place is good and the price is not that affordable for students. The food tastes bad.
I loved ordering from them before but recently they have taken a dip in quality. Most notably for their special menu, the selfie cow. They have delivered 3 times with bad quality of the meat. Either the meat is not as tender as before or the quantity has noticeably decreased. The sauce still remains good but that’s it. If they can’t make their specialty good, what makes it so that the other food in the menu would be good as well?
So we ordered via grab. I had the special platter. Basically what it consist is 2 thin medium hotdogs, 1 sunny side up egg, 2 thin slices of ham and a fried rice full of greasy butter.A starving lad would definitely dig in to this if they were hungry. But a lady who is a picky eater would get tired from eating such an oily heavy food. For the price of more than a hundred pesos, it was not worth it. Plus, breakfast menu like this is nothing compared to your homemade ones. But anyways, i ordered it because im lazy and i only live alone so haha. Maybe if this resto offers a unique flavor, this will last a long time. Just saying.b
Used to like their food (only due to serving size back then) even though most are too salty, their servings before are big which was alright for the price of 109 for tonkatsu but I was disappointed when I ordered, the tonkatsu they gave me wasn’t the actual serving portion of what they usually serve. It’s not even half of it, only around 1/4 (even less) and they even dared to cut it into three, I was surprised since I’m a patron of their place.(Take note: the staff doesn’t seem to smile nor care for their costumers)So I asked them if that was really it and the guy near the cashier said that it was but the other orders were huge. They could have just told us that there weren’t tonkatsu anymore rather than cutting our order or did they accidentally eat our portion? It was so small that it pales in comparison to a 45 peso porkchop lol anyone would notice that they either divided that portion or maybe someone accidentally ate it and still dared to serve. For serving us this way, I give this a 1 star and never will eat here again, I honestly would have given it a 3 star due to it being salty but somehow still average plus having a huge serving but now, no especially that I experienced 2 mistakes from this place.
Menu’s a hit-and-miss. Some food, and the rice sometimes, are on the greasy side. Their food are inexpensive for the quality, but they cater to students and their prices are NOT student-friendly. I usually dine or order for take out at night, and it would take more than 10 minutes for my food to be served, but i wouldn’t hold that against them. The selfie cow is a delight. Fried stuff – I try to stay away from. Their beef quesadillas, probably among the most expensive item on their menu at P200, is underated. I love that stuff.
Food is okay, it is pricey.Ambiance is really niceThe servers is just ok.The only choice you have when you want to eat something unusual around Sampaloc
