A new cafe opened near my home. It is just two buildings away from me. This Japanese stop specializes in bento, coffee, and cakes.I’ve been here twice and I was impressed by the owner’s hands-on service. Their offerings still need tweaking though, particularly on their coffee and sweets. I had the Chicken Teriyaki Bento for my main dish. This was of good value. It was like a meal prepared with love at home. It is also priced fairly at Php 165. It comes with a slice of their signature Japanese Cheesecake. alwayshungry.ph
First time to visit this cafe and i loved it. Ordered hot coffee and it taste really really good. Would love to comeback to try their pastries nextime.
Late post: the cakes are fantastic esp the chocolate one with a melt-in-your-mouth, not too sweet, just a hint of bitter personality. Appreciated too that they used soy milk on my smoothie as requested. Gyoza bento probably is not the cafe’s best bet on value for money vis-a-vis portioning and taste.
First of all, excellent service! The staff are friendly, hospitable and fast. The ambiance is cosy and cool, and with fair lighting. The store showcases a visible baking space for people to see.For the food/drink:Tori Kuwayaki, P338 – Something like a fried version of chicken teriayki, it has a perfect mix of sweet, salty and spice in its flavor. I must say the price is a bit high for such a bento box consisting of just the main dish, veggies, rice and a slice of tamago. But nonetheless, the taste is great!Coffee Bun, P68 – The taste is that of black coffee with a dash of sweetness. The texture was quite compact and dry, though I couldn’t fairly judge it as it was served after being heated in a microwave(If I’m not mistaken).Iced Flat White, P158 – Perfectly bitter and creamy at the same time, it has a minute taste of alcohol.I’d be back here to taste their other coffee options!
Very polite staff! They know their products very well. If you are new to the place, they can suggest according to your preferences. Kudos to good service. The place is also conducive for giving yourself a place to breathe after hours of meetings.
I’ve been to Fujinoya a few times since it’s close to my house and I really enjoy their coffee. One of the best tasting ones I’ve had. The staff is very polite, friendly and accommodating. i also enjoy that it is still new and “undiscovered” so a quiet place where you can really relax while having your coffee.
