I’m so glad I stopped by The Breadery for breakfast. This is a convenient location on Emerald Ave. in the heart of the Ortigas business district. We had the:Spam Cheddar Eggwich – huge baguette type bread with egg salad, spam, cheese mixed with mayo and touch of tangy mustard. Absolutely delicious. Nori Eggwich – egg salad sandwich on huge baguette type bread. Large serving of egg salad and also delicious. Capicollo Ham Croissant – their bestseller. Tasty ham sandwich on croissant with a touch of spice. Delicious. Cream Cheese Tart – sweet with cheese and a touch of tart. I will definitely come back to try their other offerings.
Breadery is a nice alternative to the other coffee shops in Ortigas that tend to get busy and crowded in the morning, and their coffee is just as good. The aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries wafts through the air and greets you the moment you step in. I have tried a few of their buns, tarts, and pies, and nothing disappoints. Like French Baker and Tours Les Jours, they also offer discounts before closing. My only complaint is that they badly need to fix the lock on their washroom door!

One rainy night while I was waiting, I decided to skip on regular iced coffee in Starbucks and CBTL nearby and went here instead. I have no plan of eating and will just settle for Iced Coffee, it’s raining hard and yes I still ordered Iced Coffee. Their Macademia Hazelnut Latte intrigued me and I ordered that. It’s a 5/5 for me. Ambiance is good, service is better and the coffee is outstanding. Now this is my new coffee oasis in Ortigas
My go-to place if I have a craving for pastries. So far I have enjoyed their almond croissant, bacon twist (really good), their cheese rolls (ala Portos), their kouign amann. So far the stuff I found meh was the chocolate chip cookies, the cheese tarts (too thick crust), and the pork turnover/pie whose filling was too sweet. I just wish they’d put labels/names on the cakes display and allowed for slices.
I liked the bread that I ordered. I guess it is caramelized. It is also crispy on the outside, so it is properly baked. The chocolate inside the bread is also good, but it would have been better if they added more chocolate in it.
The sell great pastries and bread though a bit pricey. Service is good here. A must try is their ‘Branka cheese bread’. FYI they go on sale every 7pm. 30-50% of on selected bread nd pastries.
