If you are searching for yet another unique dining experience, Chao Shan Beef Hotpot promises just that. They provide authentic Cantonese style Shabu-Shabu with high-quality, fresh grass-fed and free-range cattle as their specialties. The owner boasts that their meat is freshly cut every single day. This is to ensure the beef is both tender and nutritious. The name Chao Shan Beef came from two cities in China, Chaozhou, and Shantou. Dining here is made more complex yet simplified. You check items that you wish to have including the type of stock, meat, and vegetables first. Next is putting together your own sauce combination. They have a sauce counter in the restaurant. Finally, you cook at your own pace. Do note that meat should only be dipped three times (maximum of 12 seconds) and that vegetables are placed last. I love the sauces here at Chao Shan. They have their own unique recipes of satay, bean paste and chili sauce from Shan Tou, a province of Guangdong, China. One can even add as much chopped chili, onion, garlic, spring onion, kinchay as they want. Adding a fresh egg is also an option. On beef, our team was able to indulge in premium cuts. We had short loin, shank and brisket deckle. Our table also had Chan Shan’sbest-selling, delicious beef ball. The latter is only at Php 350 for 10 pieces. We were able to dip the beef in both beef bone stock and sweeter, coconut stock broths. If you are a bit lazy in concocting Shabu-Shabu, they also have ready to eat main dishes. We had Chao Shan Fried Rice with Beed and Spicy Stir-fried Beef. Chao Shan Beef Shabu- Shabu is located at the newest food hub in Makati. You can locate them at the grand of newly built, Three Central Square. alwayshungry.ph
