Do you have those moments when you are with your friends and you just can’t figure out where to go for lunch because everyone wants something different? Well if you’re in Makati area, and you’re in that predicament you might want to consider going to Picnic. It’s a big enough casual dining area where there are different stalls that offer a variety of comfort food. You have your porkchops, fried chicken, Taiwan sausage, waffles, tofu, vegetable dishes, and even ramen! (Seriously the list is quite long and evolving so you might want to head there yourself and checkout what’s in the menu). They are being true to their name; it’s a picnic place where you can easily satisfy your cravings while just chilling with your friends. The price for a meal is reasonable too and something that you and your “barkada” can go to for those food trip escapades. I would compare it to Century Mall’s Hole in the Wall in a sense that they both offer a unique good dining experience, with the exception that Picnic offers more variety. When I was there, I tried the porkchop with melted cheese and I was pleased with my decision. The moment it was served to me, I could still see the smoke and the melted cheese slowly moving on my plate. Writing about it now just made me hungry again. I just wish I had more time to try out different things, but I had an appointment that afternoon. My verdict, it’s absolutely something I will visit again with friends whenever I’m in Makati area. If you consider yourself a foodie, you shouldn’t dare to miss this one out.

I’m from Taiwan and this place is so called Taiwanese food so I came here from time to time until I tried the spicy hot pot. It’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had. From the smell of it you can tell that the base of the soup is made with powder. I almost vomited by the smell, but I’ve decided to take one bite, and yes I have never tasted anything like this . It’s the worst food experience one can have. Avoid the hot pot if you want to see another sunlight.

Did I like it?YES! Loved the ambiance of the place, aesthetic and picture worthy. It’s a mini food court of 5 different stalls that have different specialties. Stalls offer ramen, fried food, waffles, cooked viands, and drinks. There’s also a mini convenience store of Japanese and Korean snacks situated near the entrance. I ordered Chicken chop with rice, the taste is okay and the portion is huge. Overall, it’s really satisfying. Is it affordable?Surprisingly, yes! On the outside it looks pricey but the food is ranging from 100-250 pesos. It’s really cheap. Will I come back?Yes. I haven’t tried the food from other stalls yet so I’ll definitely eat here again.

I didnt know this was like some kind of classy food court. Just went it to try it.I ordered at lucky pot the masala spicy broth. Tastes delicious! I actually like it. Portion is generous for 1 person. A little pricey but i think its ok.Service is also good. Staff are friendly. I dropped my chopstick and the staff picked it up and they gave me a new one. Thats in a matter of seconds.Theres a service charge though. Dunno but i think it should already be included in the price.

The inside is so cute! So ideal to take pictures! There are different stations with different food. The buffet is affordable and always has different selection. I especially love the congee. The mini hot pot is so large and comes with a bowl of rice so it’s good value. I tried the Choconana waffle, BEST WAFFLE EVER!! If you are in the area, must come give it a try!
