Tried their salted egg potato crisps one afternoon. This booth used to have a blockbuster line when it first opened but not anymore. Maybe because they did not make it fresh before – slicing the potatoes directly over the deep fryer (the main reason it had a long line). Now, the stall had a pre-cooked open tray for all to see. So the salted egg was real (not powder-based, boiled and then mashed). The server will heat the mixture with ‘butter’ over an electric pan. Then toss the chips with it (so the chips became soggy and all). The taste was okay except that it was soggy and in broken bits after the tossing. Maybe they could have an option of making it into a dip or pour it over instead. Will not try this again.
