⚠️ NEW RESTO ALERT ⚠️Braises ‘n Stews do offer a different dining experience. And guess what? In less than 150 pesos, your tummy can be full and satisfied.Ambiance – 5.0/5.0The restaurant is clean, there are no flies roaming around despite them serving fresh food at the counter and despite their small space, surprisingly it is comfortable.Service – 5.0/5.0The staff are really friendly and they would not hesitate to assist you. If they know that you are a first timer, they would recommend for you to try their set meals first but if you are adventurous enough (just like me) you would prefer to try their *buffet*Food – 5.0/5.0I tried the make your own meal and guess what? I thought I can finish it but after eating the half of it, I was so full already. So, I could honestly say that the price is reasonable. Really really good! Will definitely come back!
Experience authentic Taiwanese cuisines here at Braises ‘n Stews. You can create your own meal by choosing among their wide array of vegetables, meat, noodles, etc and they’ll take care of braising/stewing it, making it perfect to eat. For first timers, I recommend choosing their set meals. They have 3 set meals (see menu for more details)..Set A – The Solo (for snack) P135.00Set B – The Classic (1-2 person) P288.00Set C – The Signature (3-4 person) P488.00Serving size is big. It is quite affordable. I like how every meat was cooked perfectly. It was fork tender. They even have cubes of duck blood, make sure to try it. They also have fruit shakes available. It’s made fresh from the fruit, not powdered.Overall, I liked the Set A maybe because each type of food in this set is tasty. The cheeseball, the long feng roll stick (my favorite), the drumstick, and type of noodle that was used was just perfect. They also have the lardy rice. It was a bit oily but TASTY, I can eat it even without its complement.Board/mini games and books are avaiable to use as well (depends on the time). Service is good!!! The servers are helpful. The only downside for me is that the place isn’t spacious but overall experience is satisfactory!!!
Good, comforting food for an affordable price. Pretty filling too. Parking can be a hassle, but would definitely come back. What we ordered:Set B – BF got this. Didn’t try it cause I was already full but he said he liked it so there’s that lol.Make Your Own – Got udon, pechay, chicken leg, and a bunch of balls and dumplings. Would recommend the mozza balls, and the kamote balls.
This is a hidden gem in this part of town! Food served here is just as authentic as the braised concepts in Taiwan. The concept is similar: customers get a tray and choose what he/she wants. There’s a good selection of meats, vegetables, balls, noodles and the like. The best part of the experience? The place is super affordable!Must-try’s: beef kenchi, braised chicken leg, sliced tofu skin, rice blood cake and the taro cube.
Was my first time visiting the place. The food is good and there are also some games to be played while waiting for the food. Overall I liked the place.
The one thing I like about checking out other cuisines is that it’s like an adventure, like visiting another place. My visit to Braises n’ Stews was like a trip to street food mecca – Taiwan. Taiwan has one of the best street food in the region – cheap and tasty. At Braises n’ Stews, diners can customize their plates with a selection of ingredients – veggies, savory filled balls, tofu, sweetmeats and meats, noodles and/or rice – and the kitchen will cook them for you (kind of like mongolian barbecue). I opted for the lardy rice along with some veggies and meats and that rice with the lardy sauce – pork meat, fat and bone simmered slowly until they’re this rich, flavorful sauce – was worth every calorie. It was sweet, salty and savory all at the same time. I could eat the rice on its own but I like some texture in my food so my selection was a nice complement to the rice.If you’re new to the restaurant, their combo sets are a good option – because they pack a lot! (Serving sizes are not a problem in this joint). If you’re so hungry and you’re dining alone, go for the solo set. It will be more than enough for you. Some of your choices are:Set A – The Solo (for snack) P135.00Set B – The Classic (1-2 person) P288.00Set C – The Signature (3-4 person) P488.00For the adventurous, they also have duck’s blood (their version of our “betamax”). Theirs is smooth and has this almost even creamy consistency that goes well with vinegar. I tried a bite and it was good. Their slushies are also a great reason to come back. They’re refreshing and the combinations are delish. I tried grapes with mint and it was nicely tart and cool. manangbidang.wordpress.com
