JLD Dragon recently opened in Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas to much fanfare. They specialize in Milk Tea, Fruit Tea and other fun and delicious desserts. I enjoyed the Boba Souffle Pancake, it was towering in size yet delicate. It was very soft and airy. Light to some respect even with the addition of sweet, brown sugar syrup. The boba added the milk tea element to the dessert. For the drinks, I only had the chance to sample the fruit tea since I was given a voucher for it. They was a bit of confusion since I was told I can order anything on the menu but instructions were not clear on the counter. So I was left with only one drink to sample. The Fruit Tea was good, it was refreshing and cold. Perfect for Manila’s hot weather. Recommended.
The Alley, Tiger Sugar, and Xing Fu Tang are some of the first brands to create a buzz in the Brown Sugar Milk category. JLD Dragon is another big player in Taiwan and recently they opened a shop in Robinson’s Galleria. This franchise takes pride in adding pearls stir-fried in Okinawa brown sugar, which is gummy with the right amount of sweetness. They then add fresh milk to curate an enjoyable and fascinating cup. What to grab on your initial visit? Go for the earthy, bold tasting Brown Sugar Black Tea Latte; the bittersweet, authentic Matcha and for a unique sour-tasting sip, the Passion Fruit Tea. These 3 will sum up the character of JLD Dragon. You live or work nearby Galleria? I do, and I will be back to try other beverages too! alwayshungry.ph
JLD Dragon recently celebrated their grand media launch in their very first branch in the Philippines at Robinsons Galleria. Their stall is quite big, bright and can be easily noticed.Get that milky taste with a hint of sweetness from their special brown sugar. They don’t rely on cheese/cream cheese but they offer thick milk. I recommend you to try their bestselling drink, the Brown Sugar Bubble Thick Milk for only P120.00 (cold) or P140.00 (hot). They also have fresh fruit and classic teas so if you’re not a fan of milk drinks, be sure to try these.Aside from these drinks, they also offer desserts like the cheesecakes (I like it), panna cotta (it was light, and it was interesting because it was topped with brown sugar pearls), brown sugar-flavored popcorn, and even fluffy pancakes (topped with brown sugar pearls) for our sweet tooth.
