We’ve passed by this classy kalenderya style establishment. Classy why? It has cable tv and AC. They offer wide variety of lutong bahay favorites like lechon paksiw to siomai noodles. I ordered Pork Humba (Php89) plus Php10 for sides I got ampalaya since my bf wanted it. It came with soup and iced tea. Not bad for Php99. Then my bf ordered Siomai noodles (Php109). The noodles was ok but the siomai wasn’t my fave but still sulit.
The relatively new building at the Home Depot in Ortigas has pave the way to a few more restaurants in an already dense area for food business. Techno Point Building has five food spots and one of them is Mom’s Buffet, a cafeteria type restaurant, serving no menu and not a buffet either. One simply picks from a short roster of cooked dishes on a warmer. The more dishes you get, the more affordable each one gets. For just Php 150, I was able to have classic favorite Pork Sinigang; tasty but cold and fatty Longganisa; and interesting and bony Sinaing na Tulingan. This also came with plain rice and iced tea. This could be your go to place when you are on a budget. It is still better than fast food definitely. alwayshungry.ph
