Kare-kare sauce was sweet. The bagoong was also sweet. Okoy was good, just the right crunch and thickness. Tuna sisig was good. Blueberry cheesecake and sansrival were just “okay”. Ambiance and service were good. Overall, it was okay, but not enough for me to come back.
Ate yesterday (1/25/2019) at 9:30am for breakfast. Originally wanted to eat Breaded Fried Chicken but was told that it isn’t available yet because it’s too early, opted to get Papel de Liempo. Food was okay and serving is big. Didn’t have a lot of costumers ay the time we ate so the attendants were able to assist us very well.
1028 Kitchen Place offers a wjde variety of food, spanning from breakfast food to your local favorites. The service is great. The waiters are attentive, and they answer questions diligently. Their POS system is high-tech; they use tablets to punch in the customers’ orders. The food is usually served fast as well.I recommend getting the Tuna sisig or the Pork sisig. They use green bell peppers, which to me adds another crunch into the dish. They serve generously, even with their solo plates.I have visited this place for about four times already and they’re good, but what’s lacking is consistency in flavor and the use of ingredients. The latter only happened to me once in those 4x.
Their all-day breakfast meals are delicious, they just have to be consistent. Their tapa, chicken pork adobo and papel de liempo are a must-try.
We had our brunch while waiting for the shops to open. We ordered corned beef breakfast meal and halo halo. The food was okay, just appropriate for what we paid for. The sunny side eggs were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of salt. The corned beef was cooked with onions and potato. Serving size will make you full.Service, well, there were only 2 customers at that time and all our requests were immediately attended. When we were seated, waiter gave us glass and pitcher of water.Ambiance, place was neat including the rest room. It is also near Solenad’s parking area.
I went to this place not expecting too much because it was simple but cozy looking from the outside premises. But their kind and friendly staff made me decide to go in and try their dishes. I ordered the cute little okoys, the buttered shrimps (siempre plus rice), and a slice of their yemango. To my amazement, their food was delightful and tasted very good. And the presentation did a lot to please the senses too. Gaganahan kang mag order pa sana ng iba. If I only have a bigger wallet hahaha. I hope you’ll have another branch near Makati where I live. Thanks for the experience!
First time to try this restaurant with my family. Staffs and the manager are very accommodating. The place is so cozy. And food is great. Okoy, Kare-Kare, Pork Sisig, Pork Binagoongan and bacon wrapped barbeque is a must try. Really amazing!
