Had the large banh mi. It was decent, but small. For the price I just can’t imagine going back there. Banh mi is street food in Vietnam, even the best bahn mi is about 80php.(Banh Mi Huynh Hoa) So paying 275php for an average flavored and small sized banh mi is just not worth it.
Yummy drip coffee! It was painful to watch it drip away slowly but it was worth in the end. Customer service was great, servers attentive and gave just the right amount attention.
Their iced coffee, which the waitress said was made from drip Vietnamese coffee, tasted like extremely watered down cheap instant coffee. Service staff was slow and clueless at best.
Disappointed with our order of Bahn Mi and fresh spring rolls. Roast beef in the bahn mi was tender but still left us wanting, specially for the price. Spring rolls was mostly noodles with super little chicken, tasteless too.
My kid was playing at the park right in front of Banh Cafe, so we decided to check if they had anything vegetarian. We had actually decided to have dinner elsewhere, but upon seeing that they had a Mongolian Barbecue, we changed our minds. Yes, they are a Vietnamese restaurant, but the varied offering did seem to blend well nonetheless, and did not diminish the consistency of its overall theme. Their Mongolian Barbecue even had a special option for vegetarians, or for those who simply wish to skip the meat. To top it all off, they had a Buy 1 Take 1 promotion! Great deal, I’d say. Their wait staff was top notch, very accommodating with our requests and questions. It was also one of the reasons we decided to dine here instead. Our kid was hyper and messy, but the staff still were very patient with us. They even have outdoor seating which we abused as we moved indoors and outdoors, and vise versa, to and fro, keeping in stride with our daughter’s activities. For some reason, my kids loved their chocolate cupcakes too. My toddler even had two. This seems like a new place, but the decor is classy and looks to me to be on its way to become a popular outlet. Before leaving, I took home some ground Vietnamese coffee beans, and tried it out the day after. I’d say that it was just so-so. I’d definitely come back if I find myself in the area again.
