Service and the quality of food is really good. The pricing is reasonable. It was also a good idea to come up with combo meals to cater solo and small group diners. One of the best restaurants in Solenad.
We’ve looked around Solenad for a good quality yet affordable restaurant to try, we’ve found this! Set meal starts from 235php (includes Soup and Iced Tea), but their ala carte are quite expensive. We have ordered: 1) Pork Belly with Green Mango Shrimp Rice (235php) – Pork was a bit tender, sauce was just ok (my mom can prepare binagoongan better!) Sorry Bistro Charlemagne! :D, but the combination with the green mango is a great idea! Good job! 2) Crispy Dinuguan Paella (235php) – Good servings, nice presentation, great taste (a bit sour, but it really blends with the pork and the rice and some veggies.)3) Coconut Fish Fillet (235php)- I wasn’t able to try this, sorry! 😀 4) Sisig with Fries (ala carte) (can’t recall the name of the dish) (can’t remember the price too!) I find this combination a bit weird, for me, sisig doesn’t fit much with the typical fries, but the sisig itself tastes good, and can be shared by 2-3 medium eater. 5) Plain rice (can’t remember the price too. Haha)
We went here for the lunch sets. Each lunch set did not go over 300 pesos. We got the lengua set meal. The lengua was very soft. You can cut it with the spoon, but the gravy felt cold and lumpy. The seafood bake did not look appetizing at all. It looked like the sauce of seafood noodles put over rice. Taste was alright, but nothing special.I guess we expected more from a restaurant rated 4.5 stars even if it was the lunch menu.
The fusion of Filipino food with other cuisine is really impeccable. Charlemagne has been our usual stopover whenever our family goes south, and over the years the food still tastes the same. Kudos to kuya noel for making our dining experience awesome!
Best resto in Solenad 3, hands down! You’ll never find another restaurant that serves high quality food with affordable prices. Lastly, give their soy chicken a try. This meal alone will give you all the reasons to go back to this restaurant again and again.
I live in Sta Rosa Laguna and this is my go to place when I’m in Nuvali. Great food and selection especially at this price point. Lovely ambience that will make you think its a pricey place but it’s actually quite affordable for mall restaurant standards. if you’re in the area do check it out
