Whenever we are in an area that we don’t frequent, we try to eat at restaurants that do not have branches elsewhere. We couldn’t decide on a spot until my dad mentioned that he saw a burger place featured on TV that has interesting flavors. I searched my restaurant apps and found Burger Republik with an apt tagline – the adventurous burger.Most if not all of the sandwiches use ingredients that the place in the burger’s name is known for. If you order a Boracay Surprise, you’ll get a chorizo patty. If you want some Chicken Inasal, go for Bacolod’s Pride. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not try the Vigan Crunch with bagnet and lechon sauce or the Pampanga’s Delight which has a tocino patty.I went for one of the bestsellers, the Mount Pinatubo. It had a beef patty, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sriracha bomb all squeezed into a pandesal bun. Beef was juicy and the bread was soft and crumby. The spice level was manageable. I liked my sandwich which came with fries and a drink. I felt bitin though and wanted something else but most establishments were closing already by the time we finished.The rest of the family ordered Mount Pinatubo, Manila Sunrise and Bacolod’s Pride. They were ok with their orders.At the time we visited, they had a promo of free churros for every 2 burger orders. The caramel sauce tasted better than the chocolate dip but skip the churros as they weren’t good.Burger Republik is a small stall near the cinema that could probably seat about 15 people only. The servers rearranged the tables so our group of 10 could eat together. They did a good job juggling our orders and they came out in batches. After a while we kept going to the counter for catsup, water, napkins etc which they promptly gave. The servers were friendly.I would love to come back for a snack and get one of the more adventurous flavors.*they deliver inside the cinema
