Included in our overnight accommodation at Seda Hotel Nuvali is a breakfast buffet for two. Proceeded to Misto at around 8:00am and the restaurant is full. Better to start the day with a gym workout, swim laps, or few walks at the lanai before the breakfast feast. Replenishment of food trays takes awhile. Platter of bacon is just served at 9:00am and it’s the only thing I’m looking forward to. There is a variety of food selection. Taste is not inspiring but still okay. The bread and pastries is my favorite corner. Consumed a handful of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

Ate here to avail of our complimentary breakfast buffet. We fell in line by 7:30am as most of the seats were already occupied but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. By that time, the bacon was almost gone but they refilled it in less than 40 minutes. The bacon was a bit overcooked though. The highlight of my meal was the danish. I wish they had more of it in terms of variety. Great staff and service nonetheless. And, I think the capacity issue (waiting line) will be addressed by the second building that is currently being done.

I wasn’t expecting our buffet dinner last night to be that good. I usually have low expectations on volume food setups. Most of Misto’s dishes were prepared as if they were plated individually. They were done with quality and care. The ones I really enjoyed were Shrimp Sotanghon, Seafood Kare Kare and their rendition of Fresh Lumpia. These three I went for second servings. Usually, I don’t when am trying to cover as much ground as possible. Dessert choices, on the other hand, were not as delightful. Some options were questionable like Champorado and limited pieces for their Halo-Halo station. I did like the ice cream spread of 12 flavors. alwayshungry.ph

Their buffet breakfast is reasonably priced. The food selection is just enough – not too much, not too little. I would say that their food is good because my kids were able to eat a lot.

If you’re down south for the weekend, drop by Misto (Seda Hotel) and grab a bite to eat. The California Maki and Grilled Pork Liempo are both pretty good. If you’re checked in and have access to the Lounge – they’ve got some pretty good afternoon snacks, too.

Lyka, one of the student trainee in Misto has the best personality. Food wise, it was good. The spag bolognese, yummy. The blueberry cheesecake’s crust was way too hard. I think it was chilled for too long
