Came by for lunch and was quite excited as I quite like seafood. The place was fairly empty when we arrived so we had a choice of table. The menu was quite interesting but we were here for one thing, shrimp. We ordered two bags of shrimp between three with two different flavours, Mardi Gras and Salted Egg.The shrimps came out in buckets but I was kinda disappointed when all they left were bags of shrimps. The disappointment disappeared as soon as we dug in. Juicy shrimps with really tasty sauces with bowls of rice, there isn’t anything else you would want.It is quite messy but they provided gloves to keep the mess (on you) to a minimum. If you did make a mess there was a tap on the window side of the restaurant by the kitchen. We probably could have eaten more so about a pound of shrimp per person should be doable.
The overall experience was great, I just found the shrimp underseasoned. The sauce was flavorful but the shrimp itself lacks in flavor. What the shrimp lacks, their chicken wings makes up for it.
The food was okay, but maybe we were just a bit disappointed because the food was not as well presented as advertised. The shrimp serving was not that tasty – the seasoning only got to the outer shell.
My friend was craving for some buttered shrimp and we decided to try out this place. We ordered some salted egg sauced mussels and Lemon Buttered Shrimp paired with steamed rice and we we’re not dissapointed at all. The servings could feed 3 people per dish and the sauces were tasty. Even the steamed rice portions were big. The place itself was a bit classy probably because of the interior and the service was fast. Definitely coming back with more friends in tow. Had a lot of leftovers since there was just three of us and the two dishes we ordered could feed at least 6 people.
The food, service, ambiance and serving time were all very good. We tried the Shrimps with Salted Egg sauce and Mussels with French Lemon Butter sauce and they were both very delicious. The Fish & Chips I did not like so much though. But overall, I would recommend this restaurant. Good value for money too.
Me and my friends saw this restaurant.. we checked the menu and we decided to dine here.. we ordered the Shrimps with Mardi Gras sauce as according to the waiter it is their best seller.. we also tried their Crispy Belachan Pork.. the portion of the shrimps is good for 3 to 4 pax which is very affordable.. when it comes to taste, its delicious and mouth watering.. you must use your hands to enjoy the food.. it is same as the Seafood in a Bucket which is located in Dubai..
Isa lang ang inorder namin na ulam. Shrimp by the pound with Mardi gras sauce. Very good. Un lang hindi siya advisable para sa mga health conscious. Kasi super oily. Pero the best siya kasama ng rice. Ingat lang sa food coma after eating.
