Marks my first ever resto to try at SM Masinag and also the very first in Marikina-Antipolo! Did not expect that much but since they’re rated 4.4 on Zomato, then they must be really good.Had a chance to try out their Filipino dishes (with a twist) best sellers which includes the Deep Fried Kesong Puti, Crispy Tripe Kare Kare, Toasted Alamang Binagoongan, Beef Kaldereta, Salmon Belly Sinigang sa Miso, Crispy Pata (Family sized), and Sinaing na Buntot ng Tuna. What’s good about Marison’s is that all of their recipes are an original and are carefully made with love at their kitchen!I don’t know where to start since all of the dishes we’ve tried are undeniably good. My personal favorite was their Beef Kaldereta (just because I love slow cooked beef stew, lol bias– and I never tasted a bad kaldereta yet) but really, it’s mildly spiced and the meat was tender. Their Kare Kare is also unique (bcus of the tomato) and also has quality, you don’t even need to pair it with Bagoong because the sauce itself is THAT good! The Binagoongan is a bit meh but maybe it tasted better when hot. For the soup, their Sinigang sa Miso is a classic. Also, the Sinaing na Buntot ng Tuna has a striking resemblance with the Cripsy Pata– except the Tuna is a bit ‘healthier’ option but has that same crisp as the pata. For the refreshment and desserts, we had the Strawberry Kamias, Fluffy Halo-Halo and Triple Mais Con Hielo. Not a fan of strawberry and kamias BUT– for the desserts, their Triple Mais Con Hielo is the beeeeeest! The goodness makes you really wanna cry. Even though I’m not allowed to eat or drink something cold that day, I literally ate my own words. The best Mais Con Hielo I’ve ever tasted yet. Exploding with corn goodness.Hope they’ll have a branch soon in the South!
