went on a daytrip and bought the set meal. If you’re going to Luljetta, the smartest thing to do is to buy the cheapest package (the one without the set meal) because there’s a 600PHP difference for the set meal, and you won’t be able to choose what you like.the soup (Not in picture) was lumpy and tasted very cheap. I think it was corned beef and flour soup.the salad was okay.the seafood marinara pasta wasn’t. it was bitter. :(the fruit dessert was just okay.if it were a set meal, it would be better to have choices so that we can atleast have something we liked.the suman merienda (not in picture) was delicious though!
Money’s worth! I have to be honest, I am a sucker for massage and spas and when I usually book for a package that includes dining, I have low expectations with the food quality since technically it’s only part of the bargain. Blame it on the marketing schemes. But among the few, I am very pleased to share that the food here is just so worth it! One of the best spend I’ve had and definitely on top of my favorite Antipolo food spots. Their signature suman is a Must-try! The ambiance of the place is just too perfect. They even have special spots at the resto if you want a romantic dining experience and enjoy their dining package for couples. (On the photo, I lost the one where the pasta is included but nevertheless that salad is to die for. Not a fan of veggies, but I really enjoyed this one in minutes!)
The fried suman with latik and mango was delicious. I am not sure though if our breakfast which was part of the overnight package was from the same Cafe but both the Tapsilog and Boneless bangus were yummy. The ambience and the view from the cafe was nice too. Will def try their other menu when we come back.
Interesting food options. I was pleased to see many vegetarian/vegan-friendly dishes on the menu. Their Lou Han Zhai is wholesome yet satisfying.
Although it was a little bit pricey – given because the booking on the Hanging Garden were also a bit high – the food were amazing. We had a complimentary snack which was the SuMaKa Snack and it really tastes good. My friends and I also ordered some pasta. I ordered a carbonara and it was good. My friend ordered the pesto and it is one of those pesto which pass my taste buds.
Don’t get me wrong. The whole Luljetta’s Hanging Garden and Spa experience was surreal however, I think the food was subpar at best. The carbonara, the salad were bland and dry. The chicken bbq was like tocino on top of rice. Serving size didn’t quite help as it was so tiny. The only saving grace was the suman manga kasoy which was served as a snack. The lemon brew tea was also nice and refreshing. Hopefully, they can improve their menu and add flavor to their food. I’m being generous on giving them a 3 star rating to be honest.
The place is nice, very scenic, however, we did not get to go around the place as it’s not part of the dining experience. We ordered deep fried calamari, garden salad, stir fried squid with veggies. The food is priced too high for its quality, taste, & serving. Suggest to review the menu and maybe consider serving Filipino dishes, grilled fish, ensaladang talong and the likes.
