I used to love this place because of their shanghai and pancit but now, it has deteriorated due to rude cashiers/servers. Parang di nila gusto yung ginagawa nila kaya it shows when they talk to their customers.
It would have been a better rating if the staff had better service. Their approach is not so welcoming specially their cashier who looked untidy and even (excuse me) picked her nose while she and colleagues had a noisy chat at the counter. Not to mention that it took almost 20 mins. To get my order done.Here are my reviews for the food I tried:Pancit canton with lechon and liver– The good thing about this is you have a choice if you want a dry stir fried or saucy one. I am not a canton fan and what lured me to try this is because of the good reviews here an the fact that it was saucy for which is the only time I can eat such. It tasted ordinary. I was expecting fatty lechon with cruncy brown skin but what I had on this dish is lean meat. If you go for this, try to consume it while it’s hot as the thick sauce becomes runny once it gets cold. Anyway, the price of 120 pesos and serving size is reasonable. It can be good for 3-4 person.Lumpiang Shanghai– I’m glad I trusted the good reviews from here. I was not disappointed at all. It was tasty. This costs 120 pesos for 12 pcs.
We have ordered from Pon Lo Tai before ( Pancit Canton for takeout) and what my son said was true, service was slow altho the food was good. No complaints regarding the food as we enjoyed it very much.So last Saturday, I was all alone with two toddlers at home and decided to just have food delivered. I decided on Pon Lo Tai. I called them at around 11:40 am. The staff I talked to was courteous. I ordered Pancit Canton (120), Buttered Chicken (120) and Chicharo with Beef (130). Delivery time she said was around 45 minutes or so, it was delivered after 50 minutes.The food was good. Affordable also since it costs around 370 for the 3 dishes. Altho for the same price, a competitor has a more flavorful pancit with more servings.
