Food and People brings the tastes of New York legend Katz’s Delicatessen to Krakow. When I got to Food and People, I looked at the menu and I was very excited with what I saw, nothing else like it anywhere in Krakow or even the whole of Poland.After my friends and I sat at our table, the staff were more than happy to recommend items on the menu but I had to try one of everything.For the first taste of my large meal, I chose beef tartare. The beef tartare had a strong flavor that hit my taste buds just right. Next up, I had the beef cheek that was an excellent cut of meat grilled to perfection, it was tenders and seasoned with many spices that made the dish come alive. After that, I had the lamb tongue which was actually quite enjoyable. Then there was the mangalica fat carpaccio, a first for me and would definitely order it again, perfectly seasoned with paprika.Next, it was on to the pastrami. I started with a pastrami pierogi which is the best pierogi I have had so far! The onion chutney pastrami sandwich had to perfect balance of the salty pastrami and sweetness of the chutney, the Rueben sandwich is a classic that I have had many times and it was a just as delicious as I have had in America, and New York style pastrami sandwich was an intense 450 grams of pastrami sandwich that was so decadent and mouthwatering good, definitely the highlight of the meal.Don’t miss out on their amazingly NY style cheesecake and their selection of cocktails, wines and beers.Every dish was like a party in my mouth!
Plus za pomysł na zabawę z pastrami. Niestety zupełnie nie rozumiem idei robienia kanapki w ordynarnym zwykłym chlebie(czy pieczony na miejscu to sam nie wiem?) Aż się prosi tu wspaniała długa buła, pełnoziarnistego,domowego pieczywa i  jakiś fajny sosik;)
