At Powidoki, we offer Korean and Asian flavours explored with open-mindedness and freedom. Although chef Jae Ho Youn (Seoul, South Korea), has strong foundation of Korean/South East Asian cuisine, he is not shy to explore many possibilities the local culinary culture offers. Thus, we would call our cuisine not 'Asian Fusion' but 'Free Style Asian', where we would take the most interesting elements from Korea, South-East Asia, and some regions of Poland and Europe and not being afraid of taking influences from street-food to fine dining. In this process, the freedom of spirit, freshness of ingredients, as well as simple joy of serving good food freed from any cliches and pretentiousness, is the most important thing for us. Chef Youn believes that the true 'authenticity' doesn't simply come from the fact he's Korean and is able to cook popular Korean dishes, but he thrives further to achieve the true authenticity of Powidoki, right here in the beautiful city of Warsaw.
