I was drawn into this Polish restaurant with its signs for pierogi. I entered and they were completely full. They told me to wait a bit outside as inside wasn’t that roomy and would be in the way. I obliged and waited patiently. Once a table opened up they directed me to it (there was a mother and her child who tried to claim it before me but luckily the waitress noticed I was the first arrival). Once I was seated the service definitely warmed up. Unfortunately for me they had completely run out of pierogis! Slightly disheartened I looked at other options and the Large Potato Pancake With Goulash jumped out at me. It was cold and I had an appetite so ordered this. I also had a Hibiscus drink with fruit and currants. It was just right for me (might be a tad sweet for others) and it was very refreshing. The pancake and goulash combination was a hearty dish. The pork was nicely cooked and the potato pancake was great as a vessel to mop up all the delicious sauce.
