we had been to this restaurant on a Sunday night, it promises to give you a good authentic food of algeria, south africa according to the first page of menu ; i haven’t tasted that kind of food before so i cannot say if it is true or not! But then to the food i ordered was a starter feast-which consisted of olives, harissa, hummus and 2 starters of the day , in which we ordered fig and olive puree and veg dumplings, all the dips were good and refreshing , i just wish they served a lil more bread with it and coming to the dumplings, i dint find them as dumplings they were something like puffs but their fillings was really good but the downside was it was not baked well since the phyllo dough cover of mine was undercooked. Now coming to the dates and mutton soup we ordered, i dint find it as i expected it to be, it had a good sweet taste but i couldn’t feel the dates in it nor i found any. It had more of a runny sauce flavour than a soup touch to it. Now coming to the main course, we received beef cheeks tajine which was not at all up to my expectation, it dint have any depth to it, even though there was an average amount of meat in it, vegetables were over powering and looked unpleasant. For dessert we ordered white mouse and i dint find anything good about it, it had no flavour, no presentations, nor it had any aroma in it .Coming to the ambience , its a good and neat place with a decent music playing in the background. A place for family and friends. Service was good but once service is done waiters don’t even look at us. we almost struggled for 20 mins to call them to order dessert ! And coming to the price , its above what they serve, I think we can find better food than this for lesser price in Gdynia.
