Have been there today hoping for a nice meal – it’s history! Still the old village of Evoramonte is worth to be visited – unfortunately there seem not to be any nice alternative restaurants close by.
Eat on the terrace for stunning views of the Alentejo. Excellent food and a warm hospitality from the family owners of this delightful small restaurant just near the castle. The partridge escabeche was a real treat, but everything was delicious and homemade.
Very close to the castle, don’t let your eyes fool you. A Convenção is not the fanciest of restaurants, but they offer really tasty home-made cuisine from the Alentejo in big enough protions to feed two people.Very friendly service and cheap!
