Situated in the heart of historic Silves, between the castle and IbnAl-Mutamid-Amar and a gorgeous Gothic cathedral, the Caf Ingls, built by a renowned figure in the city, is housed in a striking building of oriental inspiration which refers to the final nineteenth century. Caf Ingls is more than a place where you can enjoy a delicious meal or a nice drink in beautiful dining rooms or if time permits in its various terraces if you prefer. The Caf Ingls is much more than that; is a warehouse of ideas, cultures where people are the key players in the music and the arts has always been our commitment, in fact held at regular quality events in various musical aspects ranging from jazz, Latin jazz, african, latin and Jam sessions that include instruments from around the world, among many others, presents new artists in painting, sculpture, photography and the decorative arts, Poetry nights that included the presence of famous names of Anglo-Saxon poetry: Simon Peter and Pagnal Hermitage, which also involved local poets.
