Visited on 14 October around around 6pm. Cafe seemed closed with paper over the windows. No explanation in English or Portuguese. Disappointed as we had passed the ‘famous’ cafe in favour of this one. Nothing on the Chique’s own website to explain this.

Very very very very good pastel de nata pastries! Best we had so far. The place is nothing special, which is not necessary when serving such pastel de nata. 🙂 so pick some pastries and eat then in the Park near the belem Tower
Bustling pastellaria with good food and businesslike, friendly service. The quiche and salad was home-baked and very tasty. Coffee great. The range of takeaway food looked delicious.
