About

The old convent of the Trinity was built by Queen Isabel, wife of King Dinis in 1325, and then opened with great pomp and circumstance. The 1755 earthquake and subsequent fire destroyed it completely and the new reconstruction of the building and covered some ground that stretched up to the present Rua da Misericrdia. The Religious Orders were abolished in 1834 and the dispersal of the friars determined the subdivision and sale of the convent. Currently, you can see the old convent in four buildings. With the earthquake opened the Rua Nova da Trindade Convent by dividing both sides of the street. The Faz Gostos by Duval, occupies a part which remains at its most original. This area is still more valuable because it includes an ele- ment of Ferdinand Wall crossing the middle of space. Enjoy your meal, no fangs, in this unique space, where the menu was designed to pro- vide moments of great happiness.
