Holy Ice Cream shop is at the heart of Mouraria neighbourhood right at Lisbon city centre between Martim Moniz and the São Jorge Castle. Cristina Correia, the owner, had a long time desire of opening an ice cream shop. Regular visits to friends living in Mouraria caused her to fell in love with the surroundings and as soon as she heard about the shop being available for sale her mind was made up, it would be an ice cream shop named Holy. Holy due to its location, Calçada de Santo André, being named after a local saint, it's a neighbourhood full of people from different origins and beliefs. Also because for Cristina the ice cream has something sacred about it, its purity and simplicity. At Holy Ice Cream shop you can have artisan ice creams of great quality like the chocolate ice cream made with Valrhona chocolate which makes an excellent combination with the mandarin or for all people with a sweet tooth there is also the salted caramel.
