Restaurante um pouco barulhento, mas assim que a Fadista começou a cantar fez-se silêncio. A comida tinha um pouco de sal a mais. Os empregados estavam impacientes a partir de uma determinada hora, acabei por me sentir forçada a ir embora. O que gostei mais foi de ouvir as Fadistas.
Great place! Delicious food! Perfect atmosphere!Ambiente descontraído, tipicamente português, comida servida em generosas porções e deliciosa. As donas são super atentas e simpáticas e o serviço é impecável. O bacalhau à Brás e a carne de porco alentejana são fantásticos!
Terrible. I’m Portuguese and I’m writing this in English so that everyone can understand how awful this is. We waited 10 min. just for someone to take the order. And when they finally came to take the order it took them a whole hour to bring the food. The food was wrong. The owner, a super rude lady, just threw us some take away mayonnaise. the workers were obviously not enough, and we blame the owner! We left and we didn’t pay with the owners consent. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Nunca fui atendido tão mal num restaurante. Demoramos mais de uma hora a ser atendidos. Enganaram se varias vezes no pratos que traziam. Péssimo mesmo
Service was beyond awful. While Portugese speaking customers were served quickly and courteously, we waited an hour to be served. When the food did come, (my husband received his 20 minutes before I did), it was not what we ordered (unless swordfish and dorado are both small and bony) it was cold, dry and over-cooked. I found it inedible while my husband ate part of his after going to the kitchen himself to get a wedge of lemon. The fish were a accompanied by unseasoned boiled potatoes (no butter, salt or pepper on them or on the table) and a salad comprised of several lettuce leaves, some onion, and a slice of cucumber, also without any seasoning or dressing. The Portugese couple next to us came over to say that they had noticed our treatment and that of other tourists. They apprised us of the fact that all establishments must have a complaint book and suggested that, in general, we should avoid eating in Alfama.
Went in without researching previously as the family was starving and it seemed a good enough popular restaurant as well as an alternative to the more expensive restaurants around. All I can say is that it what a terrible experience. Despite the fact that they have a charcoal grill, which caught my attention in the first place, the ingredients were mediocre and bill was just pure robbery.
