We stayed at the hotel and had breakfast here. It was a buffet breakfast with a great selection of baked goods, cheese, meats, fruits. Great breakfast.
The setting is of course grand, in the palace, but the food does not live up to its location. The staff seemed distracted, and the main course of lamb was a most odd creation sitting on a mash with bits of vegetable throughout. And pricey.
No complaints about the quality of the food, but small portions and high prices. Suggest a drive to Luso where there are a couple of very good and reasonably priced restaurants.
Enjoyed a special dinner here. Attentive service, great menus and unique wines from the Bussaco cellar. Fish roe soup, aspargus rice, rabbit and morgado for dessert. Paired with the 2015 white and red. I will come back
