Located 100 meters from the hotel, the restaurant specializes itself in traditional wood fired cooking. The food is certainly worth travelling for, and many people do. The attraction is a combination of a popular meeting point and a daily local music. Many try the islands favourite Poncha drink or locally brewed wine. Freshly cooked garlic bread is definetely a draw, while local Madeira product is championed reletlessly - an impressive roster of local suppliers is clearly visible. Excellent place to go to. We were there a couple of times over Christmas 2019. I can’t really explain, it’s just a great place with really friendly people. To get the most from it, be part of it, don’t just sit there, get involved.
