Founded in 1993 by Bernardino de Abreu and his family the White House Pub & Restaurant Grill is a place of good taste, which became a reference due to the quality of its service, the friendliness of this family and its charming and cozy atmosphere. The history of the White House Pub & Grill Restaurant begins in 1993, when the pub originally named White House Pub is officially opened to the public. The White House Pub & Grill Restaurant opens a year later founded by the Abreu family from Campanrio, a small parish located in the south of Madeira Island, attributed this designation/name as a reference to the street where its located Rua da Casa Branca, municipality of Funchal. The White House Restaurant & Grill was founded and managed by Bernardino de Abreu, and remains under his family until the present time. The White House Pub & Grill Restaurant is located at the heart of the hotel district in Funchal municipality better known as Lido. The building is inspired on typical Swiss cottages, and has a very unique and tasteful decoration reminiscent of London's pubs. The White House Pub is a place that provides moments of sheer entertainment, offering its guest the best music in town, a meeting point which became a "MUST" for both locals and foreigners.
