The ambiance at Restaurante Estrela is traditional Portuguese, old world and homey and the service is good. The food is outstanding! I had the grilled salmon and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was served with my favorite cooked potatoes, buttery and flaky in the best possible way. (Are Portuguese potatoes just better and/or they are cooked in butter and/or broth or both? Fantastic in any case!) The fish was super fresh, of course. My husband had a beef dish that was tender and delicious, again, perfectly seasoned and cooked to a medium rare temperature; a hangar steak par excellence. It was served with what looked like potato chips but were really chip like cooked potatoes, way better than chips! moist and delicious. We had a half bottle of the house red wine which was the perfect accompaniment to the food; medium bodied and fruit forward with a dry finish. All for $22 Euros. Waugh, fantastico at a great price!
