Doha Samovar in Al Wakra is nice, little eatery where one can savour some great tasting Kerala eats. We had fortuitously discovered it just a couple of days back, and now we have returned to it with friends to introduce them to the lovely flavours they create.This is one of the best places in Doha for those typical Mallu snacks that go perfectly with the Kerala Chaya (Tea), like, Unniappam, Elanji, Pazham Pori, Beef Roll, Elayadas of different types, Ulli Vada and Irachi Pathil.Samovar, opens early by 730 am and continues it service until midnight. In the mornings it caters all the favoured Kerala breakfast items, like Puttu-Kadala, Upma, Poori-Bhaji, Idly-Vada, Dosas of all types, Appam and Porotta with a variety of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian curries. For Lunch which starts around noon they have very reasonably priced options Pothi Chor for QR 12, South Indian Meals for QR 10 and Business Lunch for QR 14. Through the day they have great soup, salad, fish, beef and chicken options.This restaurant is popular with Malayalis as the food and flavours are close to what one gets at home. The place is neat and service is efficient. Doha Samovar will not disappoint the foodie who wants a taste of Kerala.
Ordered thru Zomato and This restaurant didnt confirm my order. Had to wait 15 mins for their resonse and will have to wait 2-7 working days for refund .. If this restaurant cant fulfill the orders, they should not put the online order option ..
Small Indian restaurant, and was greeted by the friendly staff. Delivery was quick.Samovar Tea is great. The Mutton Briyani served on Friday afternoon needs improvement, Kizhi Briyani served on Sunday evening is 3.5/5. Appam is very good. Taste can be improved.Overall a good restaurant worth a visit.
Food delivered within 30mts. Food was tasty. Only thing, Coorg fried chicken was with thick gravy which I didnt expect. Fried means no gravy..
Unfortunately lowest rating is only one is available, otherwise i would have given below 1.we where a regular customer while beginning of samovar , those days it was good.gradually reduced quality,quantity, service and price become high, price we can managed, but quality we can’t compromise. last week we visited there, ordered 3 beef Biriyani. it was a disaster. Not even a single good piece was not available.immediately we reported to supplier, he dint say utter word.and quality of the service also very bad.and we reported to owner, we did int get any satisfying answerand last price is very high, 18 riyal.!!!!!.
