I found this hidden gem scrolling through Zomato looking for African food. When I looked at the menu I noticed it had a lot of East African. I was not disappointed at all. They’re pilau was amazing very aromatic with lots of flavor. I also tried the Nyama choma ( roasted lamb chops) that was really good. The Masala Chai is delicious. He also recommended the Mandazi ( bEIGNETS). The sides were really good. I actually liked this place so much I went there 3 days in a row with different friends so they can try it out. The service is amazing. The portions are huge and to top it all off the prices are great.
Nice African cuisine. Worth giving it a try than eating the usual in Doha. They food was nice and tasty. The service was nice too. Lots of seating space since it’s in the food court area of quality mall. Would love to eat there again if I happen to go there.
Part of the food court at safari mall that was previously Parco Mall. Good selection of East African food. Food is tasty and reasonably priced. My mum loves their fried fish which is crispy and hot. Even if you just want a quick bite you can order mandazi and masala tea.
My parents stumbled into this restaurant on a day they were searching for Redtag. I’m glad they did! They have a whole range of East African food as well as continental and Indian food. Their food is freshly made which is a huge plus for me. I have tried and love their Pepper soup, dodo (butter fried plantains) and jollof which is almost like a pulav. If you’re trying out African food for the first time, order what I had or ask the staff for suggestions. Absolutely kind hearted staff. The first time I went there, the owner helped me out with my order, such a lovely lady!
Delicious food that is always fresh and tasty! Al Zanj offers a great range of food from African to European. Highly recommended because the food and service is wonderful.
