A hidden gem in Doha. Surprisingly, not a lot of people know about this place at the Mid-Mac roundabout, Salwa Road. Probably because the restaurant has its name in Arabic. The place is ALWAYS crowded, but that’s okay. The food is incredible and that is what everyone is here for. There’s a family dining area as well but it is usually a long wait. I recommend catching a seat any place you find empty because the food is worth it. Order the Reb Maktoom rice with chicken. Never ever seen a chicken that falls off its bones the moment you pick up a piece. Another impressive fact is that breast meat of any chicken is usually hard, rubbery/chewy after so much cooking. But the chicken in the rice at At Katem melts like soft cotton candy in your mouth. The rice is equally delicious with slow-cooked spices and that tomatoey taste we all crave with the chutney. Grab a can of Pepsi and your are all set. Quantity served is good enough for one really hungry person or two moderate eaters. Either ways, go with someone or in a couple to enjoy the meal. Prices are really reasonable.

Saudi style mandi.Ambience is also ok.Rice is cooked in pressure which can be seen while entering the restaurant.We were 4 people and ordered 2 mutton and 1 chicken. It was served in a single utensil and was fun to eat. It was much filling.Please don’t mind the photo much as I forgot it before we started.
Superb food live kitchen wonderful. Quite busy area as the tastes too good maktoom mutton and chicken lovely their rice needs special attention lovely food recommended for food lovers.
