It’s a shame I just recently discovered Aqua Lounge. Highly recommended for shisha and if your keen to have alcoholic drinks. The view is amazing! Great place for chillin’.
A great place to just hang out with friends. Their shisha terrace / rooftop has a beautiful view of the Doha skyline and the ambience is very chill and refreshing. Their menu is a little lacking, especially the desserts but we enjoyed their cheeseburger sliders quite a bit.
This review is solely based off of our poolside service experience of aqua lounge which was not great. The drinks were good—we will start there. But there was basically ZERO service. We waited for 20 minutes before getting up to get our own menus. We waited another 20 min before we go up again to tell someone we were ready to order. We then waited over 45 min for just my food and my friends food took another 15 minutes. We never saw anyone again after that and waited 20 minutes before walking back to find someone for our check. Overall, it took 3 hours from the time we arrived to be able to order, eat, and pay and we were not sitting around in between at all. Also, my drink was a supposed to be a shake but it was a room temperature liquid when it arrived. Lastly, I watched the manager speak down at her staff in a very disrespectful and degrading way right in front of us at the pool. It was akward and unprofessional and disrespectful to her employees who do not deserve to be treated like that, especially in from of hotel guests.
We visited the lounge yesterday in evening for a Ladies night hangout I organized. Highly disappointed by their service, it was below par. Since we were 4 ladies and we came on a weeknight (Wednesday) I did not make a reservation beforehand, which was purely my mistake. It was very hard to find a sitting place for us as the lounge seemed full. Although we were ladies none of their staff seemed interested to facilitate us. Until I reached out to the Manager and he found us a sitting area towards the end corner, where many other seats were also empty. We waited 15 mins to get the menu. Food was of decent quality, shisha was very smooth and nice ! However, again since the service was non-existent I had to wave so many times at the waiters around to come and take our order, although they had ample staff there. While, billing we had to use entertainer vouchers it took them ages again to update our bill and bring it. We kept following up for it, and the lady staff had a very unpleasant look on her face when she came and spoke in an equally weird tone with us, which I cannot figure out why. Overall our experience was NOT GOOD, credit to their staff and dead slow service. I was embarrassed that I kept the meetup at this venue. Don’t think we will be visiting the place again !!
