First thing’s first – The three is a generous rating. Mentioning the positives first. Love the ambiance of the restaurant – It’s one of a kind. Love the Arabic vibe.Now about the not so good part – As we sat on the table and ordered food, we noticed that our glasses had FINGERPRINTS on them. Not just one, both of them. We called one of the members of the staff right away and they apologized for it and changed it immediately. However, the new glasses were still not satisfactory and we decided to drink from our bottles. It’s not about OCD rather about the basic hygiene of the restaurant.The staff was still kind enough to act promptly. About the food, its a hit and a miss. We ordered a LOT of food but still weren’t completely satisfied as the portions are small for the prices charged. The chapati with Omani Chips is a must try 🙂 oneshotlatte.wordpress.com
Enjoyed a delightful Friday breakfast at Gahwetna. Their menu is inspired by local Qatari cuisine with decor to match. We had the Moshakshaka, which is served two ways – “mixed-up” and “not mixed-up”. Both are very tasty, but trust me – take the “not mixed-up” version. It is definitely the better choice. The Moshakshaka is served with deliciously fresh sesame seed flatbread, baked on site. This elevates the meal above most other restaurants who order their bread from outside. Will definitely visit again when I feel the need for a great Shakshuka.
I Tried their breakfast and it was good. The restaurant were crowded a little bit . I tried the cheese omelette and the chapati. The concept of the restaurant is to serve gulf breakfast. The taste of the food could be better.
Been here twice and its always a delight. Great Qatari food in a beautiful setting. Every dish we’ve tried so far has been delicious. Friendly staff. Perfect for a cosy weekend brunch.
Went their twice and never again the staff really really bad, they would not give the menu quickly they will not come take our order nor get the Check. Not worth the time
