As you can see from my account. I don’t really comment usually. However it was big trust issue. so I decided to write for people who has been fooled by you here. Dear Hakkassan restaurant manager. I was the one who you tried to contacted several times for the incident 2days ago in the unhygienic kitchen staff who was licking a spatula in front of your customer and PUT THAT BACK AGAIN TO THE BOWL. I was with my friend for my late Bday lunch. We ordered the most expensive brunch course from your menu list. In the middle of the dinning, I wanted to go to restroom so I went and came back. On the way I was going to towards to my table, there was open kitchen. I SAW INDEED ONE OF YOUR KITCHEN STAFF WAS LICKING THE BIG MIXING SPATULA WITH HIS TONGUE IN THE KITCHEN, LITERALLY WITH HIS BARE TONGUE OUT TO THE SPATULA( the most disgusting scene ever in my life) and PUT THAT SPATULA BACK TO THE MIXING BOWL AGAIN!!!!!I was staring at him and he seemed that he noticed that I saw him. I right a way came back to my table and talk to a manager he called himself.(However i leant that he was not the manager of Hakkasan restaurant while I was talking on the phone, nevertheless). Anyway I complained to him about what I just saw he said he will check and come back. The first answer what I have got was “mam, it was not his tongue, it might looked like it from your vision but he was USING HIS CHIN TO CHECK TEMPERATURE”. I don’t see any apology in this point and I couldn’t believe that is the way of checking temperatures in this kind of high end restaurant which cost $200 each person for regular plate? You guys don’t have any tools for checking temperature? or you guys want to fool your customers instead of apologizing, aware of your fault? Please explain to me. You guys think customers are fool? who doesn’t know anything so you can say whatever you want to say? I DEFINITELY REMEMBER WHAT WAS THE INGREDIENTS COLOR IT WAS WHITE CREAMY TEXTURE. if your excuse was even truth, I would have seen something on his chin. He was not eastern people who has similar skin color of the mix. Additionally, HOW COME EVEN HE CAN DARELY USE HIS TONGUE ON THE MIXING SPATULA. EVEN IT WAS NOT ONPEN KITCH, IT IS OBVIOUSLY YOU GUYS CHEAT ON YOUR CUSTOMER. I CANNOT ACCEPT IT. NOBODY ELSE. Your staff came to me explain that was not tongue but chin? UNBELIEVABLE! means your staff doesn’t know anything about hygiene in that kind of high end restaurant! It seems None of you guys know how you have to deal with hygiene plus how the service has to be done.We right away left the place and went to another brunch place. Few hours later I’ve got a call from your side probably offer free dinner or free treatment? I didn’t answer. You guys should well train yourself and staff how to apologize and what is hygiene first, then you better open restaurant again to public.
I know food or recipe has no soul. But the way chef cooks the food here, they bring soul and substance. Maybe the only thing I don’t really like in this place is the lighting, it’s too dark, im having hard time reading even the menu lol. And when I ordered the king crab meat, I told the waitress not too spicy but it was too spicy when I tried it, gladly it taste good that I can’t really focus on the spicy. Nevertheless, other aspect is perfect. Ambiance, crew, and especially the wagyu. The mini bar is a complement if you want a starter drink anyhow. It’s a bit pricey comparing the 1st time I ate here (of course, when the demand is high, the price will get high) but when you want good quality, it comes with money.
I wasn’t a fan of brunch in Hakkasan as I never could get more of their delicious fried dumplings (only one of each!) so I had mix feelings about the place. But recently I was invited for a dinner and I loved it.Great atmosphere, dim lighting and separations are giving a bit of privacy which makes you really comfortable.Stuff is really friendly and helpful with menu.We ordered plate of fried dumplings, truffle duck (both delicious) and stir fried beef. Plus few different drinks which were all really nice.Definitely great place for a dinner with friends, date or any kind of celebration. And if you still have time, grab a drink at the bar – really cozy and nicely designed.
Beautiful place, great food, great service. One of the best restaurants in Doha.Waiters are well trained and always smiling. The price is a bit high but definitely worth a visit.
Hakkasan has been on my list for quite some time, as one of the exclusive restaurants to try out. I have to admit, it did not disappoint. Located on the gorgeous grounds of St. Regis, It has the cool chic of a club with the tasteful decorations of a posh restaurant. The service is brilliant with extremely helpful and competent staff. Mybomly gripe is that they shpuld have soy and vinegar to accompant soups. The food, among it’s other attributes, is unique in its own right and quite scrumptious. The portions are also just right. The desert was the highlight of the night, with the coconut semi fredo being the showstopper. 4.5/5 !
Such a beautiful ambience and delicious food! I came here to celebrate my birthday they have made a romantic setting on our table as how my husband asked for, we sat in the outdoor area which is more interesting i absolutely loved it.For what we ordered:Appetizer: I can’t remember the name, I think it’s the Hakka fried dim platter, but definetly the most interesting appetizer I had. it comes with 3 types (2 from each) with a shape of fruits (orange, pear, wrapped sticks) Soup: crab & sweet corn supreme soup, it was ok not so yum.Main course: we ordered Chinese as it’s their specialties.- sweet & sour chicken with pomegranate. So good!- crispy prawn I haven’t tried it but my husband loved it too.- noodles “Hakka hand pulled noodle” vegetarian and it was so good too For desert we had chocolate fondant, it was ok, I don’t like bananas in my sweet, but the chocolate it was ok.Definitely to come back again totally worth it.
Hakkasan lives up to its name. The ambiance was lovely, food was yummy and the staff were very good. No wonder they are crowded even on a week day. Celebrated a birthday there! Loved every bit of the experience. Definitely visiting again.
