Chef Tomas De La Paz’s cuisine is an explosión of flavors that hightens the palate and ensnares the senses, a mixture of spice and sweet that I won’t readily forget!
Our 2nd time dining at La Mar, and as a returning customer, one would wish to enjoy a repeat of the last experience but it wasn’t so. Food felt different, the signature fried fish had an odd texture, something was missing overall. What I’d dearly wish for is not to see the doom and gloom of the floor crew. Men in suits by the cashier seemed like senior hospitality staff but didn’t seem bothered about their customers, busily chatting away through our meal. The most disappointing part was the birthday cake we pre-arranged for one of our friends. The ice cream was melted before the cutlery arrived (we even had to request for it). Overall, would anyone wish to dine at a venue where it looks like it’s business is shutting? I doubt so.
The food was so delicious and the staff is so friendly and helpful I really recommend the place if your a Peruvian food lover they are the best in doha
After 4 or 5 visits, I can confidently say this is one of Doha’s best restaurants. The service, food, quality and ambience is consistently high and impressive without fail. Well done and keep it up.
Loved the beautiful Ambiance, very dim & romantic & if the weather is good, the outdoor seating is a must with a beautiful beach view !Servers were very sweet too !For food i ordered; Pollo: basically chicken thighs with sweet potato, corn and a bit of sauce, it was delicious honestly, i wanted to order it again right away, the chicken was full of flavor so was the delicious sauce, i wish they added a bit more sauce to the plate but it was delicious. Lomo Saltado: stir fried beef tenderloin with veggies in soy sauce & rice with corn, it was quiet nice too, the saltiness of the soy sauce & sweet corn gave a good combo !Just loved how the restaurant gave those romantic vibes & ofcourse good food, definitely worth a try with your loved one !
Très bonne adresse pour la cuisine péruvienne. Le cadre est très agréable ainsi que le personnel. Le ceviche classique était très bon, mention spéciale pour le poulpe, super bon et tendre. Le poisson à la braise également. Les cocktails au pisco sont bons. Adresse à conseiller.
