Went here on a Thursday night with friends for some dinner and drinks. We opted for the outdoor seating on the terrace which was absolutely lovely. We ordered the butter chicken and some pasta — the pasta was on the dry and bland side, but the butter chicken was good. Portion sizes were satisfactory and service was quite nice.

We had dinner on Tuesday night for Makimono Super deal for QAR 110 – Unlimited Maki Rolls with one soft drink & Macha Ice cream!!I don’t even know where to begin! It was sucha divine experience.Ambience – Classic Gordon Ramsay Standards!Service – Mary Joy, Jomari & Sathya made sure we had the best experience!! Mary Joy took such good care of us by bringing us – Watermelon & Orange juice in replacement to our choice of soft drink. Jomari was a delight & his smile made us enjoy having a conversation with him, he definitely made sure to keep us as comfortable as possible.Food – Makimono – Included Salmon Maki, Shrimp Maki, Crispy California maki, Edi Crispy Roll, Spicy Tuna Maki with Macha Ice CreamTray of maki was so colorful & to talk of the taste!! OMG one of the best sushi I have had in Doha!! Absolutely Love!!! So fresh & rolled to prefection!!Shrimp Maki was our tables favorite!! Just Divine!!!Macha Ice Cream – Personally I was never a huge fan of the favour, but boy did they change that for me!!! Absolutely loved the macha ice cream. The balance in the ice cream is surreal!!They have given me an experience of a lifetime! Thank you to the team of Opal by Gordon Ramsay. Will be back to try their Sunday unlimited Pizza Day & Business Lunch!!-Niki (Foodiepola) – Instagram Food Blogger

We went on a Tuesday it was open maki night, honestly it wasn’t as expected so we highlighted this issue to the management. We were surprised the next day to receive a phonecall from the manager apologizing and inviting us to visit again to try a very special selection of sushi. It was a great experience and the team, especially Kailash, worked really hard on ensuring we enjoyed our complimentary dinner and showed us what a true dining experience feels like at Opal.

First time here and I must admit both the food and the service are absolutely amazing, I had the beef cheeks and special Maki roll recommended by my server (kailash) we to top standard as is his attentive professional service and care! In high end restaurants service most definitely important, which I can definitely say is exceptional here

Went for a business lunch on a Friday. The food was delicious, beetroot cured salmon with arvo to start, lamb shank for main and a very tasty honeycomb profiteroles to finish. The only down side was the food coming out too quickly.

Went for Maki night. It’s a luxurious hotel and so is the restaurant. Loved the ambience and open kitchen concept. A very busy restaurant and so couldn’t take pictures of ambience and hotel.Loved the starters. Pull apart bread served with butter, olive and jam. It was yum.Unfortunately Maki menu didn’t have beverages that was non alcoholic. Every item was cocktails. Mocktails have to be ordered separate. For sushi we ordered crispy California maki and deep fried shrimp maki. Shrimp was tasty but california maki didn’t meet the expectations.Macha ice creams were tasty.Above all the staff and service was excellent.Hats off to the professional service of all staffs.
